Year 3 English - Identifying Features of A Story
In English Year 3 are enjoying reading the book, The Stone Age Boy. Using chromebooks they read the story in groups and worked together to identify the different features.
Year 4 - Maths - Multiplying 2 Digit Numbers
This week in Maths, Year 4 have been looking at informal methods to help us multiply two digit numbers. To help us, we have also been using base ten.
Year 6: Maths - Ratio and Scale Factors
In maths this week, year 6 have been focusing on understanding ratio, and using scale factors to draw similar shapes.
Year 6: English - Macbeth Character Descriptions
In English this week year 6 have been looking at the characters of Macbeth, and Lady Macbeth - then using what they have learnt to write effective character descriptions.
Year 2 - Maths: Money and PE: Team Building
We have been looking at using money in Maths, counting and calculating with pounds and pence. In PE, we have been focusing on team building and the skills we can use to create better communication in a team and a better understanding of instructions.
Year 3 Epiphany - What Gift Would We Give Baby Jesus?
Year 3 have been thinking about Epiphany and the gifts that were given to the Baby Jesus. They had to imagine that they were visiting the baby and think about what gift they would take and their reason for giving it.
Reception - RE - Diwali
To finish our unit on Christmas, we learnt about another festival that celebrates light in our world, Diwali. The children learnt about different sources of light and talked about how light does overcome darkness. We then had fun with candles, glow sticks and torches and sang a simple Diwali song.
Year 3 PSHE - Safe And Unsafe Scenarios
During PSHE, Year 3 have been looking at safe and unsafe scenarios. A friend dares you to climb the tallest tree in the park. Is this safe or unsafe and why? In groups they talked about what they thought and held up a card saying safe or unsafe then explained to the rest of the class the reasons for their answer.

Restarting this MONDAY @ Church! One Pot Wonders! Come along at 4pm and help cook and EAT a free meal! By popular demand we are making corned beef hash with rice pudding to follow! (Veggie option too) Come along, have a brew, have fun and get stuck in!
