Year 5 Class Assembly
This week kicked off with a brilliant bang as Year 5 proudly presented their Class Assembly on Monday morning to the whole school and some of our delighted parents. Every child had a key role, either speaking passionately about the exciting learning covered this term, or actively demonstrating their new skills. We saw amazing showcases of their work, including real-life experiments from Science, moving mechanisms from Design and Technology, dynamic routines from P.E., and interactive creations from Computing. Every member of Year 5 read clearly, spoke with confidence, and promoted the fantastic work happening in our classroom with immense pride.
Year 3 - Worship - Prayers For Miss Davis
The children of Year 3 have come together in a beautiful and touching way to remember their much-loved teacher, Mrs Davis who sadly passed away last year. Knowing how much Mrs Davis adored the local landmark, Darwen Tower, the children channeled their grief and love into heartfelt prayers.
Reception- Class Worship- Story of Joseph
The children enjoyed a very special class worship, as Jack the Puppet helps us explore an important Bible story: the journey of Joseph. Jack tells the dramatic tale of Joseph and his brothers. How jealousy led Joseph's brothers to send him away to Egypt, and how Joseph trusted God and became a powerful and good man. The most wonderful part? We saw how Joseph showed incredible courage and forgiveness when he finally came face-to-face with the very people who had hurt him.
Year 4 Class Worship
In our Class Worship, Year 4 have shared their ideas on the theme of being thankful. We were able to come up with a great list of all of the different things people may be thankful for and understood that there are so many different reasons in our lives for which we can all be thankful - the possibilities were endless!
