Year 3 Science - Identifying The Growth and Survival Needs of Plants
Today Year 3 started a new topic in science looking at plants. They looked at the growth and survival needs of plants and posed relevant questions. How does different types of air affect plants? How much water does a plant need? How do plants grow in different types of light? They then set up an experiment in class by planting four trays of seeds. The first tray had no water, the second a splash of water, the third a normal amount and the last one is being over watered. They will be checking the seeds daily and recording the results.
Year 3 Writing - Using Dictionaries
Year 3 are enjoying reading the story 'One Hundred and One Dalmatians' for their English topic. Today they used chromebooks to look up and write the definitions of words from the story
Nursery - PE - Throwing Skills
Following on from our PE lesson the children continued to develop their throwing skills. They enjoyed throwing balls into our sticky spider web and persevered with their aim, celebrating with each other when they succeeded to get their ball stuck in the web.

Reception PE: Sports Champions
At school today we had a visit from an Olympic kayaker. We all found out about how she trains and were inspired by her story. Then the children all engaged in some exercise circuits and talked about the need to warm up properly.
Reception RE: The Good Samaritan
In RE today, Reception class acted out the parable of The Good Samaritan. They were shocked that religious leaders would walk past a very badly hurt person but someone from an "enemy country" would stop to help and care for him. We talked about how we can show love to everyone.
Pre School- Computing-Making the Robot Move
The children have been shown how to use the robot truck. Using the buttons to move it forward, backwards and side to side. We used the cards to plan and give instructions to the robot and watched it move.
Pre School-R.E- Noah and the Ark
Noah and the Ark In our R.E lesson the children have been learning about the story of Noah and how God sent a big flood. Noah and his family saved two of each animal from the flood. They waited 40 days before seeing land again. The children enjoyed role playing with the different animals and adding them into the Ark. The children also created their favourite animal from the story.
Year 1 - Sport for Champions
Year 1 enjoyed their visit from the Sports For Champions representative. This is Year 1 enjoying an energetic work out.
Reception Maths: How Many Now?
In Maths today we have been thinking about how we can say number sentences to express how many things we have. The children are getting so much quicker at noticing how many things have been added and counting in their heads.
Year 1 Science - Testing Materials
Year 1 helped teddy to find some material to make a new umbrella. They tested each material to see if it was waterproof and then told teddy the results. Year 1 found that plastic and tin foil were waterproof, but that the best material for an umbrella was plastic.
